[Local News] Police Arrest Four Suspected Kidnappers in Lagos

– A gang of suspected kidnappers were arrested in Lagos state

– Several locals were abducted by the criminals and later released

 – The four pleaded guilty to the kidnap incident

The police arrested four men on suspicionof kidnapping on Wednesday, September 12. They allegedely abducted several residents of Iseri, Lagos state, on September 27, and released their victims after getting a ransom.

Police arrest suspected kidnappers in Lagos Accorddigng to a statement issued by Don Awunah, the force public relations officer, the criminals were detained by officers of the Intelligence Response Team (IRT) at different areas of the statewhere they were spending money.

The suspects include their gang leader Natei Okunna and three members of the group James Kegbe (a.k.a JJ), ThankGod Segede, Trust Bourdilon. All of them have confessed to their involvement in the kidnap incident.

The statement reads in part:“The Inspector General of Police wishes to restate the commitment of the Nigeria Police Force to fight crime, especially the prevalent scourge of kidnapping to a bearable and tolerable state.”
