According to the Sun, sources close to the 29-year-old said that the relationship between Pep Guardiola and the goalkeeper has not been cordial since day one.

Joe Hart joining the substitute’s bench at the weekend
Willy Caballero who was in goal against Sunderland at the weekend revealed that Hart and Guardiola had plenty of dialogue during the pre-season.

Caballero said: “I think the manager spoke with Joe a lot of times, but with me, I just trained every day in the whole of pre-season.

“And I just realised in the last day before that I was going to start it.

“For sure, it’s very tough in this situation for me, for Joe, for the fans, for everything.”

In a post match interview after the weekend’s game Guardiola stated that he is not willing to make any more summer transfer move for another player.

However, Hart has proved to be a better goalkeeper when coming on from the bench under Mark Huges, Roberto Mancini and Manuel Pellegrini.

Guardiola understands how the Englnad number one feels right now but it is uncertain if Hart will start in the Champions League qualifier against Steau Bucharest on Tuesday in Romania.

Guardiola said: “I know the quality of Joe. I’m sure he’s not happy. All the players not on the list are sad, upset, of course.
